Clean Your House with Salt!

Housework is the hard work for all of the housewives. But if you learn the little tips in household cleaning, you can do it much more efficiently. Salt is the seasoning that you use for almost every meal. Other than the seasoning function, salt can also be used for household cleaning.

First for carpet, I usually vacuum clean my carpet quite often so it is free from dust and debris. But the vacuum cleaner does not help me remove the stain. But, I can do it with salt. Sprinkle some salt directly on the carpet stain and wait for 15 minutes. Then add on it a vinegar and water solution. Followed by proper carpet cleaning procedures, you will find you carpet looks much cleaner.

Salt not only cleans your carpet, it can also remove the rust on all of equipments and tools. Make a paste with salt, water and baking soda. Use this paste to apply onto your rusting tools. Leave the tools under the sun until the paste has been dried up. Then remove the paste and clean the tool with a brush or a clean rug.

I like white toilet and sink as they give me the feeling of cleanliness. But I think it is actually most troublesome to keep the white toilet and sink clean and out of stains. Try use the mixture of salt and turpentine to be your stain remover. Smear this stain remover onto the toilet or sink for 15 minutes. Then use a wet sponge to clean up the toilet and the stain remover. You will find a new toilet and sink.

I love wooden table but I think I do not really know how to maintain them in good shape. I sometimes put the hot plates onto wooden table and I find it is damaged by the heat. Use salt and salad oil mixture can help remedy the damage. Place the mixture on the damaged areas with a soft rug. Clean the mixture up before the mixture has completely dried up. You can see the heat damage goes away!

Salt can also be a good cleaner for bronze furniture and decoration. Mix some salt with flour and vinegar. Get a cleaning rug and smear the mixture onto the furniture or decoration. Leave the mixture there for an hour. Then clean and polish the bronze furniture and decoration with a clean rug.

If you shinny bronze furniture or decoration shine no more, you can also try salt. Soak several pieces of lemon into the salt solution. Use the soaked lemon to rub your bronze furniture or decoration. Finally rinse with water and you will immediately see how shinny they are.
